The Art of Dressing a Bride Comes to ADL Fashion Week 2026

WE’RE OPENING THE CONVERSATION

Anna Campbell Is Coming to Adelaide for ADL Fashion Week 2026
+ Limited Private Appointments

This October, celebrated Australian bridal designer Anna Campbell is coming to Adelaide for an intimate conversation exploring everything that happens beyond the dress.

Presented by Imagine Bridal Studio for ADL Fashion Week 2026, The Art of Dressing a Bride will bring together perspectives from bridal design, psychology, photography, ceremony and the lived experience of a bride.

Following the event, Imagine Bridal Studio will also host a strictly limited release of Anna Campbell bridal appointments with Anna in Adelaide.

For local brides who have dreamed of wearing an Anna Campbell wedding dress, this will be a rare opportunity to discover the collection while meeting the designer behind it.

The Art of Dressing a Bride

What does it really mean to dress a bride?

Choosing a wedding dress is often described as a shopping decision. In reality, the experience can be shaped by identity, emotion, relationships, expectation, memory and the way a woman imagines herself on her wedding day.

Why does one dress allow a bride to feel completely like herself while another, however beautiful, does not?

How do family, friends and bridal stylists influence the way she sees herself?

What role do designers, photographers, celebrants and other wedding professionals play in shaping how the experience is felt, remembered and documented?

The Art of Dressing a Bride moves beyond trends and silhouettes to explore the deeply personal experience of becoming a bride.

A multidisciplinary bridal conversation

Rather than approaching bridal fashion from a single point of view, the event will bring together people who encounter the bridal experience in very different ways.

The panel will feature:

  • Anna Campbell — Australian bridal designer

  • Hereafter Weddings — wedding photographer

  • Tessa from That Wedding Girl — celebrant and wedding professional

  • Megan Hand — sharing the lived experience of a bride

  • A practising psychologist — exploring emotion, identity and the psychology surrounding bridal decisions

The conversation will be hosted by Abbey Smith, reporter and founder of Time for Chats.

Drawing on her experience in journalism, interviewing and event hosting, Abbey will guide an exploratory panel discussion before opening the conversation to questions from guests.

Together, the panel will consider the many people, decisions and emotions that shape a bride’s journey, from the first idea of what she might wear to the way she ultimately experiences and remembers herself.

An intimate event at The Loft on Hindley

The Art of Dressing a Bride will take place at The Loft on Hindley:

Thursday 8 October 2026
6–8pm

This is not a runway show, wedding expo or traditional styling presentation.

The session will welcome only 20 guests, allowing the evening to remain intimate, relaxed and genuinely conversational.

Guests will be welcomed with wine and the opportunity to mingle before and after the panel. The evening will include a seated discussion and Q&A, creating space for honest perspectives, unexpected ideas and a deeper understanding of the bridal experience.

Tickets are $55 per person and will be available through the official ADL Fashion Week website.

Meet Australian bridal designer Anna Campbell

For more than a decade, Anna Campbell has created intricately detailed wedding dresses for brides in Australia and around the world.

Known for romantic silhouettes, hand-finished embellishment and gowns designed to move with the bride, Anna Campbell offers an unmistakably Australian approach to bridal design expressive, personal and grounded in craftsmanship.

Anna’s participation in The Art of Dressing a Bride will offer guests insight into the designer’s perspective: how a gown begins, how emotion influences the design process and what happens when a bride connects with the right dress.

For Imagine Bridal Studio, bringing Anna into this conversation reflects the way we believe bridal should be experienced not as a transaction, but as a personal process of discovery.

Limited Anna Campbell bridal appointments in Adelaide

To coincide with Anna’s appearance at ADL Fashion Week, on Friday 9 October, Anna will join us in Adelaide for a limited number of private bridal appointments. Discover her gowns with the designer herself, including selected pieces she’s bringing from her new collection, Aurora: Chapter One — A New Dawn for Anna Campbell.

These appointments will give brides the opportunity to explore Adelaide’s Anna Campbell collection with Anna in person along with some of her new collection and experience the detail, and story behind the gowns.

The number of appointments will be intentionally limited, allowing each bride the time and personal attention that defines the Imagine Bridal Studio experience.

Brides interested in attending are encouraged to register before the public release. Registered brides will be the first to receive appointment information when bookings open.

A bridal experience beyond the dress

Imagine Bridal Studio was created around the belief that finding a wedding dress should feel calm, considered and deeply personal.

As a small, independent and owner-led Adelaide bridal boutique, we have the privilege of seeing what happens when a bride moves beyond what she thinks she should wear and begins discovering what genuinely feels like her.

The Art of Dressing a Bride extends that experience into a wider conversation.

It recognises that dressing a bride involves more than fabric and fit. It is shaped by the designer who imagines the gown, the people invited into the appointment, the emotions carried into the room, the photographer who records the finished image and the bride who lives the experience.

We invite brides, wedding professionals, fashion lovers and anyone curious about the emotional world surrounding bridal fashion to join us.
